At Quotegine, we’re always trying to stay on top of user feedback. We recently received some information from our users that proposals were not saving properly. After some investigation, we have found that when users work on sales proposals while in a Google Chrome browser, a problem occurs with how Quotegine dynamically saves content.
Because of the way Google Chrome handles caching, problems can occur when trying to save work on your sales proposals. Unlike in Internet Explorer or Firefox, users working within Chrome must turn caching on or off. If caching is turned on in Chrome, it is very likely that while using Quotegine, proposals will not be saved and will revert back to old content.
To avoid this problem, Quotegine users are advised to turn caching off within Chrome’s settings. You can do this by following the below instructions.
There is a gear in the bottom right hand corner of the developer tools called settings that allows you to disable the cache.
On the pc you can open that by pressing ctrl+shift+i
or on the mac command+option+i
developer tool shortcuts
In build 15-18 it can be found under Network.
In build >= 19 they moved this setting into General.
At Quotegine, we’re always here to help! If you experience any problems with our system, please feel free to contact us at any time.
