quote managementSo you’ve decided to take the plunge and give Quotegine a try. You’ve utilized our videos to learn more about some of our fancy features and whipped up an awesome sales proposal. But wait! Before you send your sales proposal to the potential client, there are some important things you should double check. It’s important to step back for a minute and make sure that the sales proposal is flawless and will impress the potential client.

First and foremost: Double check the spelling of every name used within the sales proposal including your name, the potential client and any company names within the proposal.

Next, read the proposal aloud to yourself. Any good English professor has probably lectured about the importance of reading things to yourself, but how many of us actually do it? Well, now it a great time to start! Reading your sales proposal aloud will help you catch sentences that don’t make sense, hard-to-understand wording, grammatical errors and unorganized sections. Things that may have sounded nice while typing them out don’t always sound right as a reader.

While reading the sales proposal to yourself, be sure to keep an eye out for spelling errors. Remember, spell check isn’t human. It is possible that it missed a thing or two.

Then, double check any links that you provided within your sales proposal. Make sure the links actually lead to the destination you are trying to send your potential client.

Take a gander at any pricing tables you have inserted into the sales proposal. Double and triple check all of the numbers you entered into them. This is a contract you’re sending to potential clients. Misquoting them should never happen.

Also, it’s often a good idea to get a second set of eyes on your sales proposal. Peer editing can catch errors that you may have missed. After we create documents, it’s easy to read them as we intended rather than what is actually typed on the page.

Creating one sales proposal after another can become tiresome and tedious. But with Quotegine, we hope that your experience can be organized and fun.
